KLLKT or Kollektivnye (to use it’s full name) is a project started by Alec along with Fred Paginton, Darcy Mitchell and Pete Yeung in January 2011. The name comes from the English phonetic spelling of ‘Collective’ in Russian and exists as an open, constantly growing platform for writers and artists of all kinds. Since the project began, 50 or so people have become contributors with many more interviewed and featured by our regulars. Alec has for some time been the sole editor and organiser of the project and works on the site in his spare time. In August 2012, KLLKT released their first print issue ‘Free’ in collaboration with Manchester-based label Baptists & Bootleggers. The screen printed zine contains interviews with Kilimanjaro / Modern Matter founder Olu Michael Odukoya, M O N E Y and Dafydd Jones and features illustrations from DR. ME and Rob Birchall. Designed by Christopher Anderson, limited copies are still available, contact Alec for details.
